here's a link to BioGems website, a great org to join - its free, and their website has a lot of info on different areas that are in danger. right now they are asking people to write in requesting mining permits to be cancelled in the everglades, this directly threatens the panthers and other species' wellbeing in their wild habitat. check it out , its easy to be involved :

these guys rock, they got nato to force the us navy to suspend it's use of whale killing sonars off of the coast of hawai'i!
don't forget to send both email & faxes where you can, they make it really easy. you just have to do a seperate one for email & one for fax.
unfortunately dead trees(paper) is something our governmachine respects so please send faxes too!
