Tue, January 16, 2007 - 12:03 PMIf it's really a panther (I don't know what panthers vs bobcats, the only other florida cat, sound like) that's great! Maybe there are more of them around than we think. Cats are stealthy. Jaguars are supposed to have been extinct in the US for many years, but now and then there is a credible report of one in Texas, Arizona, etc. -

and i was recently reading there are now 4 jaguar sightings (via motion sensor cameras) in ariz, appearing that at least 3 of the cats are living there, and the article & i are hoping one of them is a female who will give birth on u.s. soil!
